The technology that has been built into the Metanium DC reel is remarkable. The super-light Core Solid HAGANE frame is made of magnesium and fits perfectly in the hand, balancing the most high-end rods to perfection. Inside are 10+1 top-quality bearings, and the Infinity Drive, MicroModule Gearing and X-SHIP technologies combine perfectly to deliver smooth, powerful reeling, synonymous with the best reels Shimano. The Magnumlite III spool is made of Ultra Duraluminium and features Silent Tune technology to stabilize the bearings and reduce vibration during casting. Unwind speed is controlled by the latest I-DC5 system. This allows you to adjust the casting brake according to the type of line you're using and the size of the lure. Whether your lures are large or small and streamlined, you'll have superb automatic control. This technology is exclusive to Shimano and improves casting performance to levels of precision rarely achieved. Finally, when you do catch a fish, you can be sure that the new Cross Carbon drag washers will deliver impressive performance like no other reel.
