The Beastmaster Pilk is a rod specially designed for jigging cod, coalfish, and halibut in the waters of Northern Europe, although it is also capable of fishing for the same species using very large soft lures. Built on a High Modulus Full Carbon blank with Diaflash technology in the butt section for added strength, the moderate fast action is perfect for working pilk lures across a wide range of depths and currents. Fishing in the cold waters of the North Sea or the Baltic Sea, using jigs or large soft lures targeting big cod, coalfish, and even medium-sized halibut, requires a specific approach that can yield remarkable results. If this is your preferred type of fishing, you need a rod that has been specifically designed for it, and few can match the capabilities of the Beastmaster Pilk. Light, slim, and very easy to use, you will certainly appreciate the combination of strength, responsiveness, and power of the Beastmaster Pilk range when you send your lures into the deep and mysterious waters of Northern Europe. The High Modulus Full Carbon blanks of the Beastmaster Pilk range have a moderate fast action and are remarkably well balanced and lightweight, allowing for efficient fishing with heavy jigs while being less tiring and therefore more enjoyable during the fishing action. The addition of Diaflash technology in the rod's butt also increases the power reserve to lift big fish when they’re holding on the bottom. To handle the extreme pressure placed on the rod when catching big fish, all models are fitted with Seaguide stainless steel rings and titanium oxide and a robust Shimano DPS reel seat on an EVA handle. To further enhance functionality, a rubber butt is fitted for more comfort during fights.
