Beal Opera 8.5 mm 50 m Unicore Dry Cover is a high-quality climbing rope featuring triple certification as a single, double, and twin rope. It is suitable for a range of climbing activities, particularly for experienced climbers. The rope is ultra-lightweight and has a small diameter, allowing for smooth and quick operation in belay devices. As a single rope, it is designed for advanced climbers. In some classic belay devices intended for thicker ropes, braking may be reduced. Some older self-locking devices may not function properly with this model, so it is recommended for highly experienced users after checking compatibility with their device. The model is made using Unicore technology, which permanently bonds the core to the sheath, reducing sheath slippage without stiffening the rope. The rope has been treated with Dry Cover impregnation, which protects each sheath fiber, creating a hydrophobic layer that prevents dirt and water from penetrating its interior. Thanks to this impregnation, the rope performs excellently in demanding weather conditions. An additional advantage is the use of ThermoFluid technology, which stabilizes the sheath fibers using infrared. The uniform structure of the sheath fibers makes the rope compact and appropriately flexible. Key features of Beal Opera 8.5 mm 50 m Unicore Dry Cover include: advanced climbing model from the Intensive line; triple certification as a single, double, and twin rope; made with Unicore technology bonding the core and sheath; hydrophobic Dry Cover impregnation; Thermo Fluid fiber stabilization; designed for experienced and advanced climbers; middle marker; smooth operation in belay devices; super lightweight; UIAA Water Repellent certification; suitable for classic ridge and wall climbs, mixed routes.
