The Opera 8.5 mm DRY COVER UNICORE is the lightest and thinnest single rope on the market, also certified as half and twin rope. Beal has combined its expertise with the best technologies. The result is a low impact force, UNICORE technology, and a DRY COVER impregnation. The UNICORE process connects the rope sheath with the core without affecting the rope's flexibility. If the sheath is cut or torn, the sheath and core remain connected. With traditional ropes, if the sheath is damaged by friction on edges, it slips and shifts over several meters, making it impossible to overcome that point. In the DRY COVER treatment, every thread of the sheath is impregnated before manufacturing. This impregnation occurs at high temperatures through polymerization and improves abrasion resistance. The polymerization process and treatment of each individual thread increase the lifespan of the impregnation. This treatment makes ropes more resistant to abrasion, repeated falls, heat, dust, moisture, and significantly increases their durability.
