About this bridle
The Working Collection is Dy'on's everyday line: bridles that go along in daily schooling and that are still smart enough to turn out in. This model is built around a wide crank noseband.
A crank noseband closes differently from a plain noseband. Instead of one strap passing through a buckle, the strap runs over a padded section and back again. That lets you set the tension more finely and more evenly, and the strap stays more stable in place. This noseband is also made wide and softly padded, which means the same tension is spread over a larger part of the nose than with a narrow strap.
Underneath sits a flash strap, and it is removable. So you can ride this bridle as a combined set-up, with the flash strap under the bit, or take the flash strap off and ride with the crank noseband alone. With the flash strap the bit sits more quietly in the mouth and the contact stays more even.
The leather is supple quality leather that moulds to your horse's head with use. New, it still feels a bit stiff; after a few weeks of riding you notice the change mostly in the noseband and the headpiece. The finish is neat, with fine stitching along the straps and a quiet, classic line.
The bridle adjusts finely, which goes hand in hand with the crank fastening: you can set the fit precisely and it then stays put. It is available in sizes Pony, Cob and Full.
