The HIT N MOVE Air Mitts Mega Turtle are full-format coaching mitts developed in collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons to protect coaches during extended striking sessions. They integrate orthopaedic EVA foam that absorbs punch impact across the coach's wrist, elbow and shoulder — the three zones most exposed during mitt holding. The enlarged Mega-format impact surface makes it easier to catch punches from varied angles, including body shots, without the coach having to twist the wrist. Available in Black and White, handcrafted from 100% cowhide leather by artisans selected by HIT N MOVE. The Turtle® curve — trademarked by HIT N MOVE in 2022 after 14 months of prototyping — aligns the impact surface with the anatomical axis of the coach's arm. With a standard flat mitt, coaches have to twist the wrist or expose the back of the hand to create body shot angles, generating chronic elbow and wrist pain documented in sports medicine. The curved shape eliminates those dangerous twisting positions. The All Day® designation confirms that these mitts are built to hold up for the full duration of an intensive coaching session without any drop in protection or stability. Ultra-reinforced stitching ensures the mitt's longevity under the repeated impact of heavy punches. Calvin Ford, head trainer of Gervonta Davis, uses HIT N MOVE Turtle® mitts in his training camp. The Air Mitts Mega Turtle are the full coaching tool in the Turtle® range — built for coaches who want to work every punch register with their fighters across long sessions. The Air Mitts Mega Turtle are full-format mitts worn by the coach for complete striking sessions with the boxer. They cover every punch register — jabs, hooks, uppercuts, body shots — with a large catching surface and orthopaedic EVA protection for the coach. The Curved Micro Turtle is a compact target used for precision and timing drills, solo or with a partner. Both share the Turtle® curve but are designed for different training contexts. Why does orthopaedic EVA foam matter for a boxing coach? During mitt sessions, the coach absorbs hundreds of impacts per session across the wrist, elbow and shoulder. Without adequate padding, these zones accumulate micro-trauma that leads to chronic pain documented in sports medicine. The orthopaedic EVA foam of the Mega Turtle was selected in collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons to absorb these impacts progressively without stiffening the mitt or reducing the punch feel for the boxer. Does the Turtle® curve genuinely allow safe body shot angles? Yes. With a standard flat mitt, a coach has to twist the wrist 90° or expose the back of the hand to position the surface under the arm for body shots. These repeated positions stress the wrist and elbow ligaments abnormally. The Turtle® curve positions the impact surface in anatomical continuity with the forearm, allowing body shot angles to be created without dangerous twisting. Are the Mega Turtle suited for all boxer levels, from beginner to professional? Yes. The Mega Turtle are used by coaches working with fighters at all levels. For beginners, the large catching surface makes it easier to receive imprecise punches. For advanced and professional boxers, the orthopaedic EVA padding and stitching strength allow heavy, fast punches to be absorbed across the full session duration. D
