The Park Tool PP-1.2 slides between the brake pads inside a caliper, allowing the user to spread the pads and compress the pistons during pad or wheel maintenance. The PP-1.2 widens the space between the pads, making it easier to insert the disc between the pads when reinstalling a caliper or wheel. The dual-density 'Sure Grip' handle provides a positive grip. The PP-1.2 fits Shimano® XTR® caliper bodies: wedge-type piston tools, such as the PP-1.2, are not intended for use with ceramic pistons in Shimano® road disc brake calipers.
