The Curado BFS (Bait Finesse System) is designed for light finesse fishing and uses FTB (Finesse Tune Brake) technology along with an ultra-light and shallow spool designed to cast lightweight lures more effectively than traditional low-profile models. If you've tried fishing with very small lures on a traditional reel, you'll understand the limitations. Often, the reel just isn't sensitive enough to cast effectively with lures of 5g and less, that's where the Curado BFS comes in. If light fishing is your passion and you prefer the direct approach of using a baitcasting reel, the Curado BFS will suit you perfectly. Ideal for targeting trout, perch, or even for tricking wary fish that ignore larger lures, the light approach has many advantages and with the Curado BFS you have the perfect reel to maximize your success. The light casting performance of the Curado BFS is ensured by the FTB (Finesse Tune Braking) system. This consists of a set of magnets housed in the side plate without a handle, which apply a force on the inner surface of the reel's spool. By turning the brake adjustment knob, you move the magnets either towards the inside of the spool (more braking force) or towards the outside, but there are no moving parts on the spool itself, which explains why it can turn so freely with so little force. The addition of the S3D spool design and Super Free Spool technology further enhances performance. The internal precision gears, bearings, and X-SHIP provide smooth and efficient winding power, and the overall weight is reduced by using a HAGANE aluminium body.
