Easy to put on and adjust with buckles at the shoulder and girth. The neck strap loop allows this martingale to be attached to the horse's noseband (cavesson only). Finished with premium stainless steel fasteners, the Gressan is a perfect choice for flat work or flat work training. Why use a standing martingale? Standing martingales are used to prevent a horse from lifting its head significantly. When the horse attempts to raise its head, the single strap attached to the noseband prevents it from doing so. Standing martingales are very restrictive and should only be used by cavaliers with a good understanding of their horse's behavior. They should not be used for jumping. Technical details
