For over thirty years, MET has been creating helmets for the world's top cyclists. We have learned, refined, and developed our products, making them faster, lighter, and more comfortable with each new generation. Optimized for peloton riding, the MET Trenta MIPS is a road helmet built for performance and designed to keep your head cool and conserve your energy with every pedal stroke.Using the MIPS-C2® rational impact management system, the MET Trenta MIPS is able to slide relative to the head in the event of an impact, redirecting harmful rotational forces. MIPS is a brain protection system designed to add protection to the traditional helmet construction against certain types of impacts. The MIPS Brain Protection System (BPS) is attached inside the helmet, between the comfort padding and the EPS.Originally developed by NACA, the precursor to NASA, the placement of this vent on the top of the helmet allows for optimal ventilation. Using the power of the Venturi effect, the wind pushes the hot air inside the helmet out through the specially designed exhaust ports. This ensures a constant airflow within the helmet without creating turbulence or drag, guaranteeing maximum comfort during the longest road or gravel rides.Optimized for peloton riding, the tube-shaped tail and internal ventilation channels ensure the MET Trenta delivers optimal performance in a group, offering up to a 7% reduction in drag compared to a traditional road helmet. It features a lowered profile at the rear that, working in synergy with the NACA vents and rear deflectors, effectively channels airflow.Details:In-mold polycarbonate shell with EPS linerMIPS C2® rotational force management system designed to provide additional protection in the event of certain impactsExceptionally comfortable and stable on the head thanks to a refined internal shapeMET Safe-T Orbital retention system360° head strap with vertical and occipital adjustment for an optimal fitAir Lite straps with adjustable dividers to maximize aerodynamics and comfort19 vents and internal channels designed to improve ventilation and comfortPockets for storing sunglasses during a climb or breakTube-shaped tail to improve aerodynamicsRear deflector to ensure constant airflow while ridingLimited contact with the head to maximize ventilationReflective rear decals to increase visibility in low-light conditionsWeight: 240 g (Size S)
