The end of these German reins is a nylon cord (diameter 8 mm). The smooth surface of the cord is a major advantage, making it easier for the reins to slide into the bit rings. The section held by the rider is made of webbing with rubber weft threads (14 mm wide). The ends of the cords are attached to the webbing by snap hooks. German reins are fitted with a leather strap loop with D-ring for use if the strap does not have a ring. German reins feature chrome-plated brass buckles with a beautiful silver sheen. German reins enable the rider to keep the horse's head in the correct position. When the horse raises its head exaggeratedly, the German reins apply pressure to the bit, which disappears when the horse brings its head back to normal height. Cob size: 0.95 m girth + 1.125 m cord = 2.075 m (total length 4.15 m) Large size: 1.3 m girth + 1.2 m cord = 2.5 m (total length 5 m)
