The Wide Gape Long shank has been designed and developed with the aim of creating the ultimate modern carp hook, combining the key elements of various classics, and compatible with the vast majority of today's rigs. We started with a long shank hook, known for its solid anchoring properties, but with a more progressive and ample curve, ensuring a rotation rapide of the tip once the rig is sucked in, to end up in an ideal aggressive position. A wide opening was also required, to give the tip every chance to bite effectively. A wide opening was also required, in order to give the point all the chances to sting efficiently. Finally, the re-entrant point ensures that the hook remains anchored once it has been cast, drastically reducing the risk of it becoming unhooked. Never before have all these elements been combined on the same hook, and the result is devastating. These hooks are particularly suited to Ronnie/Spinner rigs and are suitable for a multitude of dense and floating baits in a variety of presentations.
