The rear drag of the Baitrunner DL, featuring Varispeed oscillation, is ideal for carp fishing and large specimens.
The Baitrunner DL sits proudly in the middle of the 'traditional' Baitrunner reel range. High-quality engineering, hidden inside a superb smoke-grey reel, has proved its worth, making the DL an excellent choice for serious or occasional carp anglers. If you decide to buy the Baitrunner DL, one of the biggest shocks you'll get is the price. While this mid-range Baitrunner reel has all the qualities you'd expect from a Shimano reel, including the original Baitrunner freespool mechanism, it actually costs less than many 'copies' fromautres manufacturers Combine the size 10000 with any carp fishing rod and you'll get a very balanced package. Or combine the size 6000 with a lighter rod or specialized model for a lighter combination. Whatever you choose, you're on the right track. The Baitrunner DL uses a combination of Shimano armored stainless steel bearings and a roller bearing to produce the smoothness and fluidity that all Baitrunner owners know so well. It's hard to describe, but once you've experienced it, you'll never forget it. And when it comes to casting, the AR-C spool, combined with Varispeed line placement, ensures that the line leaves the spool as smoothly as it entered. Sizes 6000 and 10000 are both equipped with a double handle, which is beautifully balanced, yet offers enough power to control the biggest fish.
