The Baitrunner XT is the premier model of the 'traditional' Baitrunner. With more than 30 years of development and history behind it, this classic is perfect for small and large environments for stalking carp, or for specialist species like barbel and bream, where a freespool rig is required. If you choose to buy the Baitrunner XT, not only are you buying the best Baitrunner model, but you're committing yourself to a history that hundreds of thousands of anglers have already owned this reel. Often copied, but never equalled, the disengageable system on a Baitrunner is perfection. Simple to use, the sound of the system disengaging when you start to turn the handle has been heard millions of times by carp anglers around the world, as they begin a new fight. The body of the Baitrunner XT is a hybrid combination of aluminum and XT-7 that offers lightness and strength, as well as the frame rigidity needed to keep the gears and high heat tolerance bearings in perfect alignment. This is important when you're under pressure from a hard-fighting fish, and it enhances efficiency and fishing pleasure. Line winding is ensured by theAero Wrap and 2-speed oscillation and, in combination with the AR-C spool design, improves casting distance and accuracy. Sizes 6000 and 10000 both feature a double handle, which is beautifully balanced, yet provides enough power to control the biggest fish.
