Asymmetric training When training with this resistance system, the focus is on asymmetric, rotating movements. The advantage of this way of asymmetric training, also known as unilateral training, is that you work on each side separately. No one is symmetrical. For example, when you do push-ups, the weight distribution over the arms is never 50/50. To bring every muscle 100 percent in balance on both sides, asymmetrical training is ideal.
