Setting new standards for alpine climbing and technical mountaineering, the new Ortles Master Cord rope offers a high breaking strength of over 15 kN with high UV resistance and a reduced weight. Its hybrid construction uses ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW) integrated into the core - a material that is lighter and stronger than steel and Kevlar - and robust polyamide to make the protective sheath. This combination gives exceptional strength and excellent knotability. The pre-cut lengths of Master Cord at 6 mm have sealed and rounded ends and are ready to use in a wide range of situations, including Prusik knots, creating anchors and rappel platforms, and threading slings and figure eights. Sling ring and accessory cord with colour coding Salewa for quick and easy identification. Our ropes are classified according to a uniform colour system. The primary colours green, blue, red, or grey indicate the lengths of the ropes.
