The unique shape of the boot traps warm air, which is the best insulator for any type of shoe. The MXZ304 remains the number one choice for winter-specific cycling shoes. Size suggestion: For use with winter socks, we recommend ordering 1 to 1.5 sizes larger than your usual Lake Cycling shoe size. Last Winter Last - With a much wider and taller toe box than our traditional shapes, the Winter last allows the foot to maintain adequate circulation even when thicker socks are worn. Our Winter last is the benchmark for winter cycling shoes. Outsole Robust Mountain V outsole by Vibram Lining Pittards WR100 leather, temperature-regulating Outlast lining, 3M Thinsulate lining in the toe box, Thermosol composite insulating insole. Closure BOA® Fit System M4 dial. The M4 dial is designed for gloves and freezing temperatures, defying sand, mud, and ice. Combined with the Click-Fit quick release system, it allows for easy entry and exit. Temperature Rating -14°C to 7°C Water Resistance The uppers are treated with a durable water-repellent (DWR) coating that will wear off over time. We recommend reapplying a DWR spray 1 to 2 times a year for moderate cyclists and every 2 to 3 wet rides for daily cyclists.
