Mammut Smart 2.0 in Dark Ultramarine color weighs only 80 g and offers optimized braking. Designed with a tube principle, it is compatible with single ropes of Ø 8.7 to 10.5 mm. The high-performance brake insert interacts with the HMS carabiner to reliably block the rope in case of a fall. With no moving parts or levers, it ensures reliability and reduced maintenance. Suitable for lead climbing and top roping, it features an ergonomic geometry for smooth rope passage. The Smart 2.0 incorporates a rethought geometry and a high-performance brake insert that significantly improves braking efficiency compared to the previous generation. The device reliably blocks the rope in case of a fall, providing optimal support to the belayer. Designed without moving parts, the assurer remains simple and robust. Its ergonomic shape facilitates handling and ensures great finesse in the fluidity of rope passage, adapted to the reflex movements of the belayer. Operating on the tube principle, the Smart 2.0 is suitable for both lead climbing and top roping. It is recommended to use a Smart HMS type carabiner for optimal interaction with the brake insert. Weighing only 80 g, it is compatible with single ropes of Ø 8.7–10.5 mm, with no moving parts or levers, minimizing maintenance while ensuring high reliability for use in crags and gyms. Based on the experience of the initial model launched in 2009, the Smart 2.0 combines intuitive handling and technical improvements to provide a safe, simple, and effective belaying solution for all climbers.
