The Crest rims are part of mountain biking history. Introduced in 2005, the design of the Crest has evolved directly from Stan's earliest ideas, including the legendary 355 rims. Stan wanted a simple and durable rim that would work well without a tube and weigh less than all the others. The Crest achieved these goals. With a more durable and lighter 6069 alloy and an asymmetric rim shape that balances spoke tension, today's Crest MK4 features technology that is light years ahead of the original design, but the spirit of the original Crest remains: to make it light, easy to repair, puncture-resistant, and as fast as possible. The BST-Asymmetric rim design of the Crest MK4 allows for a stronger wheel while providing easy inflation and Stan's unmatched airtight seal. The Crest MK4 rim is optimized for 40 mm Gravel tyres and mountain tyres up to 2.3", making it an excellent versatile choice for a wide range of bikes and riding styles. The durable and forgiving ride of the Crest MK4's 6069 alloy construction and its light, low rim shape offer unbeatable ride quality, particularly suited for Gravel and short-travel XC outings, and like all rims bearing the Crest name, it is designed for speed. The Crest MK4 combines the legendary tubeless design heritage of Stan with the best materials of today and a stronger asymmetric design. Ride faster with more comfort and security on your next Gravel or XC outing with the Crest MK4 rim.
