This cool, easy-to-handle weapon gets a more powerful frame for 2026. Introducing the 2026 VCORE 98! Like the previous generation, this racquet features a 630 cm² head size, an open string pattern, and Yonex’s modified (“Energized”) Isometric head shape, which enlarges the upper hoop for increased spin and power. On court, the VCORE 98 is impressively fast, making it ideal for tracking down balls, generating heavy spin, or reacting quickly at the net. Compared to the VCORE 100, this racquet delivers a more precise and predictable response, allowing you to hit your targets with pace more confidently or pull the trigger at the end of a long rally. For 2026, Yonex has redesigned the frame with a faster, more aerodynamic shape, reinforcing key areas to boost stability and power. Additional 2026 updates include widened grommet holes for greater string movement and improved snapback, as well as an extended inner groove at the tip for enhanced flexibility and feel. As with the previous generation, a thin, elastic film (Servo Filter) is integrated into the layers of 2G-NAMD FlexForce Graphite, enabling optimal flex while absorbing unwanted vibrations. The racquet also features Vibration Dampening Mesh built into the handle to further improve comfort. Ultimately, Yonex has delivered an impressive update to the VCORE 98. Advanced and experienced players looking for a spin-friendly weapon with a plush, lively feel will love this update.
