The Grade 2 from Academy is a 14-inch bicycle specially designed for children. In collaboration with the German Institute of Orthopedics and Sports in Bielefeld, Academy aimed to create a children's bike that is as lightweight and high-quality as possible, perfectly suited for kids. Weight is a crucial factor, especially for children who want to learn how to ride a bike. The Grade 2 from Academy weighs only 5.3 kg and is among the lightest children's bikes on the market. Thanks to its low weight, the Academy Grade is more maneuverable in turns and allows young cyclists to accelerate and climb hills more easily. With a lightweight bike, kids also don't need much strength to get the bike moving.
The low frame entry height makes it easy for children to get on. The patented Vario stem grows in height and length and can be continuously adjusted, allowing the bike to be optimally adapted to the seating position. The Q-factor reflects the cyclist's pedaling motion. For children, it is particularly important to have a low Q-factor so that pedaling is optimally suited for them.
