The Grade 2 by Academy is a 14-inch bicycle specially designed for children. In collaboration with the German Institute of Orthopedics and Sports in Bielefeld, Academy has set the goal of manufacturing a children's bike that is as lightweight and high-quality as possible, perfectly suited for kids. Ergonomics and weight have had a decisive influence here.
Product Details
Weight is a decisive factor, especially for children who want to learn to ride a bike. The Grade 2 by Academy weighs only 5.3 kg and is one of the lightest children's bikes on the market. Thanks to its low weight, the Grade by Academy is more maneuverable in turns and allows young cyclists to accelerate and climb hills more easily. With a lightweight bike, kids also don't need much strength to get the bike moving.
The low frame height allows children to mount easily. The patented Vario stem grows in height and length and can be continuously adjusted, allowing the bike to be optimally adapted to the seating position. The Q-factor reflects the cyclist's pedaling movement. For children, it is particularly important to have a low Q-factor so that pedaling is optimally adapted for them.
